Submitting a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on SycaStream infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include all of the following to be valid:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the work you claim has been infringed (e.g., "my original song titled X" or "my photograph published at [URL]").
2. Identification of the infringing material — Provide the specific URL(s) on SycaStream where the infringing content can be found.
3. Your contact information — Full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
4. Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. Accuracy statement — A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
6. Signature — Your physical or electronic signature.

Submitting a Counter-Notice

If your content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error (e.g., you have a licence, the use is fair use, or the work is in the public domain), you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which SycaStream may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the reinstatement.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service, SycaStream will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A user may be considered a repeat infringer if they receive three or more valid DMCA takedown notices within a 12-month period.

Abuse of the DMCA Process

Filing a false DMCA takedown notice is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. We reserve the right to take legal action against parties who abuse the DMCA process.

Response Time

We aim to acknowledge valid DMCA notices within 2 business days and take action (removal or counter-notice forwarding) within 5 business days.
